Product Description

The rotorless vulcanization tester is the most widely used instrument in the rubber processing industry for controlling rubber quality, rapid testing, and basic research on rubber. It provides accurate data for optimizing rubber formulation combinations, and can accurately measure parameters such as scorch time, positive vulcanization time, vulcanization index, and maximum and minimum torque. working principle:

 

Put the rubber sample into a nearly completely closed mold cavity and maintain it at the test temperature. The mold cavity has two parts, the upper part and the lower part, which move in a small linear reciprocating motion (oscillating oscillation). The oscillation causes the sample to generate shear strain. Measure the reaction torque (force) of the sample on the mold cavity, and the magnitude of this torque (force) depends on the shear modulus of the rubber.

 

After the start of the vulcanization test, the shear modulus of the sample increases, and the computer displays and records the torque (force) in real time. When the torque (force) rises to a stable or maximum value or even returns to the state, a curve of torque (force) versus time is obtained, namely, the vulcanization curve (as shown in Figure 1). The shape of the curve is related to the temperature of the test and the characteristics of the rubber compound.
